The duck days of.... winter?

A couple of weeks ago, we drove by a lake, saw some ducks, and decided to take a few pictures! As we stepped out of the car, we were told that they wouldn't chase us. With that, I turned my camera on, and zoomed in on the ducks. Before I had time to get a good picture, two of the five ducks had gotten up, and began to waddle towards us surprisingly quickly. I managed to get one picture before my companion and I threw ourselves into the car. The picture below is of the ducks, who were waddling after the car.

Introducing..... Kit!

Meet Kit, my newest American girl doll! She was a Christmas present, and I really like her a lot. Her features are beautiful, and her hair is really easy to take care of. :D She might just have to make her own blog! :P
I haven't gotten a lot out of her, but so far I have discovered that she likes writing, and outdoor activities such as swimming, running, tennis, and soccer. She didn't tell me, but I found out that she also draws a lot as well. (I knew that I shouldn't have left my new notebook and pen on the floor.)
The only pet she has is a basset hound. (Isn't that enough? :) That makes three dogs in my bedroom now... :D (just counting the dolls' dogs XD)

Socks!!!

Hi! I decided that since it's getting colder, my dolls needed some new socks. (They're both modeled by Samantha) I knit these up the other day, and finally uploaded some pictures. Comment on which pair is your favorite!

Fall, when thoughts turn to holidays, and the food that comes with them!
Pumpkins are very useful, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pudding, so I decided I needed a little one, even if it was made out of orange red heart.

Knucks!

I knit these knucks for my dolls today. They are made from an original pattern, and are pretty easy to knit.

Back to school!

While taking this picture, I happened to wonder aloud about why Josefina was wearing overalls and a long sleeved shirt, in 90 degree weather. "Well." she said looking at me pointedly. "I wouldn't have to if we weren't out of shoes and socks" (you can't see, but she is barefoot) I would've just ignored this, I mean it's not my fault we're out of footwear. Then she said, "Why look at Kaya! She only has socks! Samantha and Kirsten both have shoes! Playing favortites are we??" What was that supposed to mean, I wondered.



I found out. "Hey!" Josefina complained. "Why don't you knit us neat things like Samantha's cool vest, or Kirsten's sweater??" I tried to explain. "I would've let one of you wear it, but Samantha was already wearing that shirt, and the vest just screams for a collared shirt, and the only other one is yellow plaid, which looks nasty with burgundy, and.."
"Yeah." she said. "Who did you take pictures of a couple of weeks ago?" "Samantha and Kirsten.." I began. "You see? It must be their hair."
"That's not it at all, a couple of weeks ago Kaya was in her pajamas, and I was measuring your foot for a sock, "
"You're getting knit socks?!" The other three demanded.
Oh no....

Bad dolls!

Ugh. Imagine my surprise, when just a few days ago, I came into my room, and found my dollhouse dirty, after I had so meticulously cleaned it. Tsk tsk.

Knitting!!

Kirsten: Hey Samantha! I've got something for you, knitting needles!
Samantha: Oh neat! Thanks!


Samantha:...Sooooo, where do the batteries go?
Kirsten: Batteries? You don't use batteries, here, let me teach you.



Kirsten: You see Samantha? It's really that easy.
Samantha: Yeah, I think I'm really getting the hang of it...



Coconut: Bark!
Samantha: AAAAH!
Kirsten: Coconut! Get over here!
